Ask Gaddafi Revoke UN Sanctions

Moammar Gaddafi's government asked the Security Council (BOC), the United Nations lifted sanctions against him for the attacks on anti-government protesters.

Quoted by AFP on Saturday (05/03/2011), in a letter requesting the removal of sanctions are explained that free government to deploy troops only in small amounts to fight the demonstrators. In the letter also said that the government was shocked by the issuance of sanctions last week.

In addition, the Government of Libya requested a travel ban and asset freeze Gaddafi and his followers postponed until truth is revealed.

Letter dated March 2, is sent by the head of the Libyan People's Committee for External Relations to the UN Security Council. The letter is a reaction issued officially by the Government of Libya to the UN.

Last week the UN Security Council ordered an embargo of weapons to Libya, a travel ban and asset freeze Moammar Gaddafi, and ordered an investigation of humanity for crimes that occurred in the violence against demonstrators.
